Introduction

Annual Multi Trip Policies are designed to appeal to people who take more than one trip out of the country during the year.If you normally take a two week holiday in the summer but then also like going away for weekend breaks at other times in the year an Annual policy would be for you. It is more cost effective than paying for each single trip that you take and it also means that you can go away without having to think about Travel Insurance each time.

Freedom to travel

A Multi Trip Policy gives you the freedom to travel when and where you want, as often as you like. Taking the Worldwide cover enables you to travel anywhere in the world, so a long-haul trip, a Europe city break and even a long weekend in the United Kingdom would be covered. As with any Travel Insurance you need the peace-of-mind that comes from having cancellation cover in the case of illness or injury before your trip. This cover applies from the day you start your policy, not the day that your holiday starts. Therefore, by starting your policy from the date of purchase you will be protected by the cancellation cover should you not be able to travel due to unforeseen medical reasons.

The standard number of days you can take out of the country on any single trip is 31, but if you are going to take an extended holiday you have the option to increase the number of days away at one time to 45. If you like to take a skiing break during the year you can increase your cover to include 17 days Winter Sports. By opting for the couple or family policy the adults can travel independently of each other during the policy period. Children, though, must always travel with an adult insured on the policy. So if your child is going on a school trip you would need to ensure that they have their own individual policy to cover them for that holiday. To qualify for a couple policy you need to either be married or cohabit as a couple, otherwise you would need to take out individual policies. Europe cover will allow you to travel to all countries bordering the Mediterranean including Egypt, Turkey and the Canary Islands. Russia, west of the Ural Mountains, is also classed as Europe. Whether you are taking a City Break or cruising in the Caribbean a Worldwide annual policy will cover you for a full 12 months.
